[3040 엔지니어] AI 수혜 맞춤형 반도체 플랫폼 기업 세미파이브… 윤석현 전무 “어떤 반도체 요구해도 해결방안 제시할 수 있어야”
세미파이브 LD센터 SoC1팀을 이끄는 윤석현(46) 전무는 약 20년간 프론트엔드 로직 설계를 맡아온 SoC 전문가다. 아주대 전자공학과를 졸업하고 동 대학원에서 SoC·ASIC을 연구했으며, 차량용 SoC를 개발하는 텔레칩스에서 약 14년간 SoC 설계 경험을 쌓았다. 2021년 세미파이브에 합류했다.
지난달 27일 경기 성남시 본사에서 만난 그는 AI 시대 디자인하우스의 경쟁력은 ‘속도’라고 강조했다. 과거에는 성능과 전력 효율이 우선이었다면 최근 고객들은 제품을 얼마나 빨리 시장에 내놓을 수 있는지를 가장 중요하게 본다는 것이다. 개발 기간이 짧아질수록 설계 초기부터 오류를 줄이는 역량이 경쟁력을 좌우하게 됐다.
